The Hidden Benefits Of Yerba Mate

Filed under: Natural Insomnia Cures — admin @ 10:22 pm

If you’re planning on starting a new diet, you will probably hear about the new South African tea that has found its way into our culture. It is called Yerba Mate, and has been referred to as the perfect beverage.

This tea helps detoxify the body, metabolize fat, control hunger, restore hair color, retard aging, increase libido and increase energy all without the negative effects typical of other caffeinated beverages. Natural and effective, Yerba Mate naturally aids in weight loss and weight control.

Paraguay and Argentina are the largest cultivators of Yerba Mate, and the people were the first to discover its benefits using it as a main ingredient in medical cures and a way to maintain a health life. It has been found to inhibit oral cancer cell proliferation by a study conducted at the University of Illinois, and it is also now known that Yerba Mate contains cancer-fighting properties.

It is full of antioxidants, Vitamins A, C and E as well as many phytochemicals. Phytochemicals contain powerful antioxidants and augment immune defenses and protect against cellular destruction. Saponins are also found in Yerba Mate and have been found to protect against disease by inciting immune response. Drinking Mate tea, however, should not substitute eating fresh fruits and vegetables to reduce risk of cancer.

The complete list of Yerba Mate’s vitamins, minerals, and natural compounds are as follows:
Vitamins: A, C, E, B1, B2, Niacin (B3), B5, B Complex
Minerals: Calcium, Manganese, Iron, Selenium, Potassium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc
Additional Compounds: Carotene, Fatty Acids, Chlorophyll, Flavonols, Polyphenols,
Inositol, Trace Minerals, Antioxidants, Tannins, Pantothenic Acid and 15 Amino Acids.

It contains the alkaloids caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine. These alkaloids stimulate the central nervous system, act as diuretics, suppress appetite, and boost metabolism. Yerba Mate also contains much less caffeine than coffee – only about 1-2%. Theobromine, however, has the most important diet properties.

Theobromine is much like caffeine, though it’s a stronger relaxant for smooth muscles, a stronger diuretic, and a weaker nerve stimulant than caffeine. Theobromine thus allows for the body to shed more water while boosting metabolism and suppressing hunger, all of which combine to aid in successful diets.

There are several factors in weight management. Caloric restrictions and exercise are the most common, but both are inherently difficult and require significant control. Thermogenesis (sweat), appetite suppression and increased diuresis can also reduce weight and help maintain it. Yerba Mate extracts do the above and increase metabolism, which overall can help reduce the water weight. Yerba Mate can improve the probability of achieving and maintaining weight goals.

At first taste, Mate is generally herbal, grassy, and similar to green tea. It is best steeped in hot water, not boiling water (to avoid bitterness.) Yerba Mate is gentle on the stomach, and though it contains caffeine, it lacks the negative effects such as jitteriness, diarrhea, and heart palpitation.

To date, studies have shown Yerba Mate to be beneficial for immunity, increasing metabolism, detoxification, metabolizing fat, increasing libido, alleviating insomnia, retarding the effects of aging, and increasing energy. In essence, it may well be the perfect addition to any weight loss program, but more importantly, to any health lifestyle.

All You Need To Know About Depression Treatment

Filed under: Natural Insomnia Cures — admin @ 9:13 pm

Depression is a disease, a mental affliction. Getting the right depression treatment at the right time is vitally important. To someone suffering from depression, it is not only extremely stressful for the patient themselves but also people who are concern about them, especially their good friends and relatives.

Some symptoms of depression include mood swings, feelings of hopelessness, insomnia, suicidal thoughts, suicidal attempts, the frustration and helpless of not being able to snap out of it. Some other signs of depression include feeling of worthlessness, incapability to work (threatening to leave), inability to concentrate, inability to remember things, total detachment from favorite things, constant talk about afterlife, death, God, and so on. Basically, the earlier you notice the signs of depression, the easier it is to treat the depression.

Fortunately, doctors nowadays are well trained in depression related issues. They are well trained in giving enough information to the people out there about what is depression, its symptoms, how to avoid it and how it can be treated. In the old days, depression was associated with madness and mental instability. Such misunderstandings are minimized today. Today, people suffering from depression receive a more sympathetic viewpoint from other people and they are treated with dignity and care. You can get the correct depression treatment at any medical facility. The sufferer should only be able to recognize that he/she is not really feeling in control anymore and that aid is needed.

The best depression treatment is to identify the signs of depression as early as possible and find out the core reason that is causing the depression. The longer you wait, the worst the depression would get, and the longer it would take for the depression treatment to recover the condition. At early stage, depression treatment can be very effective. It also has a very fast recovery rate. Therefore, it does not seem smart to suffer and wait to snap out of your blues forever.

There are good amounts of anti-depressants and depression medications which can help ease depressive symptoms. Some drugs are to be taken with water and some are for chewing. Though there are number of anti-depressants and depression medications, the depression treatment will have to be customized as per individual condition. This is not like having fever, or a cold which has standard medicines and care. It takes special care and individual attention to ensure that the depression treatment given to the person actually works. Hence, no two depression cases may be alike, and no two depression treatments would be similar either. Depending on your condition, your doctor will be able to recommend the right medication for your particular type of depression, whether mild or severe.

Since the marketplace is full with anti depression medication, it is vital to note that never take over the counter anti depression pills/ medication. This is very risky and not meant to be experimented with. In case you take the incorrect medicines or in the wrong dosages, there can be enormous disasters. Always medicate yourself only after you consulted a medical doctor. Only the medical doctor will be able to advise you the correct dosage. I have known people who have taken this particular advice as a joke with very terrible consequences. Depression can lead to suicide if not checked in time. Hence, it is extremely imperative that it is rather prevented than cured.

Besides anti-depressants and depression medications, another alternative is to look for the cures which are natural based. This is because, in general, most of the anti depression medications have side effects. These side effects can be terrifying but most side effects will subside after a while. Inform your doctor about your side effects to find out if they are standard and keep a record of how long they last. If they persist for too long, you may have to either change your medication or reduce the dosage. Your doctor will be able to make that decision. Never make it on your own.

Besides taking chemical or natural anti depression medication, you should go for exercise, fresh air, and meditation. It is also true that one should be happy and proud with whatever God sends their way; high expectations are usually a very important trigger for depression.

The good news is that the amateur has understood that depression is a treatable and curable malady, just as the flu, which can and should be treated with the correct medicine and sometimes psychiatric treatment. This does not signify that the person is psychologically unstable or that he/she are on their way to become mad, as the belief was some decades ago.

Depression is treated with sympathy and care. Besides medication, meditation, yoga and positive thinking are other factors that help battle and treat depression time and again. Quality off-time and therapy sessions and anti-depressants also can bring you back from your blues; however, the best way to wrestle depression is regular relaxation of both mind and body.

Does the Nicocure Patch Really Work for Those Who Want to Quit Smoking

Filed under: Natural Insomnia Cures — admin @ 4:14 pm

If you are reading this article then you are most likely a smoker who has at least considered the possibility of quitting. There are a great many quit smoking programs, products, and techniques available, one of them being the NicoCure quit smoking patch. Smokers often have varying reasons for wanting to quit such as improving their health, increasing their lifespan, being around to take care of their families, or just to avoid the harassment that todays smokers often receive from the anti-smoking sector. An ideal quit smoking product would be all natural with no dangerous drugs, does not use nicotine substitutes, has a high success ratio, and controls the dreaded nicotine withdrawal symptoms. NicoCure claims that it does all these things and this article looks at the validity of these claims and investigates whether the NicoCure quit smoking patch really does help people quit smoking.

The NicoCure quit smoking patch uses an all natural herbal based remedy that contains the extract of Lobelia Inflata which is a North American herb that is said to improve the respiratory tract of anybody that takes it. In addition to helping to clear the lungs, it is said that Lobelia will remove all cravings in as little as 10 days but may take up to 30 days to be completely effective. The manufacturer of NicoCure also makes an interesting claim that if a smoker lights up while wearing the patch, the Lobelia extract will interact with the tobacco and make the taste extremely unpleasant giving further incentive to quit smoking. Being an all natural herbal extract, the NicoCure patch does not contain any nicotine.

Many quit smoking cures rely on nicotine replacement to curb the smokers cravings while trying to quit and to many people this philosophy may appear ludicrous. After all, it is the nicotine that the smoker is addicted to and it should be the goal of a quit smoking program to remove the nicotine addiction instead of replacing it with a different source such as gums and nicotine patches. Many smokers who use some type of nicotine replacement therapy often fail to quit mainly because while they may quit the smoking habit for awhile, they never break the powerful nicotine addiction. It is even said that some people who do manage to quit smoking remain addicted to the cure and cant quit using the gum or nicotine patches.

Obviously, nicotine withdrawal can be very unpleasant causing symptoms such as irritability, weight gain, nervousness, and insomnia and is the main reason that many smokers trying to quit give up. The NicoCure quit smoking patch claims that it will reduce these terrible cravings as soon as you begin wearing it and completely remove them within 10-30 days, all without using any nicotine or other drugs. The manufacturer says that NicoCure utilizes the healing properties of its all natural herbal formula to completely eliminate the smokers body of its need for nicotine. This sounds great but does it really work?

The NicoCure team says that the quit smoking patch was extensively researched and tested for 10 years and claims a quit smoking success rate of 97% compared to around 20% for nicotine replacement programs. It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee for those that dont find it to work as claimed. NicoCure claims that there is nothing similar to its quit smoking patch available on the market today. The manufacture says that it has developed its own special blend of herbal extracts concentrated to allow the use of only 1 patch while other herbal remedy products require you to take 3 or more formulas each day just to achieve the same potency of NicoCure.

As with most quit smoking programs and products, NicoCure makes claims that may seem too good to be true. NicoCure claims a very high success rate but then most products that are trying to make a sale make the same claim and if all products worked as well as claimed, there would be very few smokers left in the world. While it is hard to substantiate the claims of most quit smoking programs including NicoCure, testimonials show that many people have benefited from this program and it may very well work for you as well.

Herbal Remedies for Anxiety – Stress-free Herbal Cures

Filed under: Natural Insomnia Cures — admin @ 5:32 pm

Studies on the use of alternative medicine have revealed effective herbal remedies for anxiety that are capable of relieving stress, tension, and unwanted fear. Below are common herbal remedies for anxiety which have gained recognition for the past decades:

Passion flower (or Passiflora incarnata) – cure for insomnia and historically been used as a sedative. It can ease “nervous” gastrointestinal complaints, and is believed to be able to reduce nervous tremors and lower high blood pressure.

Lavender (or Lavandula augustifolia) – is a general tonic for the nervous system and is well-known for its calming properties, making it among the most effective of natural panic attack and anxiety herbal remedies.

Lemon Balm (or Melissa Officinalis) – used as a restorative for the nervous system, calms the digestive system, and reduces blood pressure.

Catnip (Nepeta Cataria) – has a soothing effect and relieves anxiety. It has sharp fragrance and is attractive and exciting to cats, which enjoy eating catnip.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) – relieves gastrointestinal problems and is used widely in Italy as an aromatic condiment and as a medicine.

Hop (Humulus lupulus) – has a bitter flavor and aroma. It is used as a sedative and causes a relaxing effect on the nervous system.

Motherwort (Leonurus) – has rather a pungent odor and a very bitter taste. Nonetheless, it helps stabilize emotions and has a calming effect.

Skullcap – is also called helmet flower for the shape of the flowers, which look like a knight’s helmet with the visor up. It’s tincture or capsules help relax and nourish the nervous system and induce sleep.

Saint John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) – commonly used as alternative medicine for the treatment of mild depression. The flowers of the plant have been used for centuries to heal skin wounds and treat depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

Valerian shrub (Valeriana officinalis) – is cultivated as an ornamental; its roots are the source of a sedative drug. Its calming effect helps anxiety and relieves people with insomnia.

Evidence may differ depending on the supplement and the anxiety disorder; however, the use of these herbal remedies for anxiety can collaborate in developing dietary supplement strategies that minimize health risks and maximize benefits to well-being.

Cure Insomnia – Relaxation

Filed under: Natural Insomnia Cures — admin @ 4:42 pm

Insomnia cures by relaxation have been popular since before man invented fire. We can trace them back, certainly in the case of China, for many thousands of years. It has only been in the last few years that we have been able to confirm the efficiency or otherwise of the Insomnia cure by relaxation.

Insomnia itself is a pernicious affliction bringing with it misery and despondancy. Many sufferers of Insomnia and other sleep disorders lay there night after night staring into the dark checking the alarm clock every five minutes and worring about the effects of sleep loss on their performance during the coming day. Getting more and more tense and finding relaxation ever more difficult.

How can we use relaxation to help to cure insomnia? One of the first stops for the sufferer looking to cure Insomnia by relaxation or any other way is the doctors surgery. This is an excellent idea as a physical checkup will reveal wether or not there is a physical reason for the Insomnia or just the need to relax. The drawback is that if the doctor finds no physical reason for the Insomnia he is likely to reach for his prescription pad.

The drawbacks here are well known. Unbeliveably simply to cure insomnia you could also suffer addiction, morning headaches, daytime fatigue, personality changes, memory impairment, impaired concentration, poor judgment, mood disturbances, and in extreme cases irregular heartbeat, and high blood pressure. The list goes on and on. A safer insomnia cure may well lie in the direction of lerning relaxation, a more natural remedy.
This is the reason why drug companies can afford large scale advertising such as TV ads and big internet ad campaigns. They know if they can get a hold of you once, they will trap you and continue to make money off of you for years to come. Their mission is to program you. Whenever you have sleep problems, they want you to think about their products.
Used to cure insomnia and many other ailments for thousands of years relaxation rechniques are becoming more and more popular with main stream health care professionals to cure insomnia. As a cure for insomnia you need to practice relaxation regularly , notice the experience of the sounds of the simple things in life.

Look into what causes your need for relaxation. When you discover the ways you create stress, you can look for ways you to relax and avoid these stress creators.

Plan to cure your insomnia – You need to consider the timing of your relaxation. It should be daily. Perhaps a weekend is better suited to a night out so that you don’t have to wake early the next morning for work or during the night for the bathroom.

Try relaxing music. Keep your favorite relaxation CD at the office, in the car, or wherever you’ll need it most. Certainly by the bedside.

Walk a while. If you have at least ten minutes to spare, walking is one of the best relaxation techniques. I have a dog and we walk as often as we can. Pounding the streets or woodland paths is an excellent way of getting rid of frustrations, relaxing, and ultimately, when gently tired, I can can think much more productively.

Exercise – Find a form of exercise you will enjoy – yoga and tai chi are great for relaxation. Schedule in relaxation time every day – This could be for as little as 30 minutes a day or one hour away from the office during lunch time.

Get into yoga. This type of exercise puts an emphasis on relaxation and breath control. Could have been designed to cure insomnia by relaxation. Practise this at least twice a day, perhaps on waking and when you go to bed. This will train your unconscious mind to be able to quickly take you into abdominal breathing and hence relaxation.

A massage is also a great way to relieve stress from the body and ease insomnia. Its great fun and as long as its not your partner doing it :) :) It’s very conducive to relaxation.

I will make a bold promise to you right off the bat: I will change the way you think about sleep forever.
