How can I get to sleep faster naturally?

Filed under: Sleep Naturally — admin @ 6:23 pm

I want to go to sleep, but it usually takes me 1 or 2 hours to fall asleep. So when I wake up, I’m exhausted. Any tips to fall asleep faster. I’m not taking any pills….
Thankyou so much if you could help :]
oh and I meant I’m not taking an pills at the moment and I’m not going to take any pills..

Well i normally have such a busy mind that i can never get to sleep. i took sleep meds like tylenol pm and simply sleep but they made me more tired.
i found that writing down what i was thinking at the time helped out a lot. and i know you said you’re not taking pills, does that mean you won’t take any or you aren’t currently taking any?

i just bought some melatonin from my work (i work at a rite aid) and it’s 3mg and i’ve been taking it for a few days. i take it about a half hour before i go to bed and i fall asleep really good. i wake up and i have so much more energy it’s really nice. i haven’t gotten this much good sleep since middle school. it’s a natural chemical that your body produces so it’s not harmful and for me it works. if you’re willing to try it, it’s really and truely worth it. but before that i used to just write everything down because i have such a busy mind.

hope that helped :)

  5. I used to be a terrible insomniac, but listening to books on tape (CD’s, IPOD, etc.), helps a lot. I couldn’t sleep because my mind was racing — thinking about my life, work, etc. Listening to an audio program takes my mind off myself. You can download free audio books from Librivox.org, or from newsgroups. You can also get them from libraries. Find a way to turn the device off after say, 45 minutes or so.
